The Hunter Derby features natural type fences. 2 round, Open scoring format.
Bonus points awarded in Handy Round for demonstraing brilliant pace, inside
turns, and taking advantage of option fences.
7:00 – 8:30 am Hacking Only
9:00 Unjudged Warm Up. Fences 2.3. Two trips allowed. $20 each
10:30 Ring Drag
10:45 Course Walk
11:00 Class 101 $250 Low Hunter Derby
12.45 Course Walk for High Hunter Derby
1:00 Class 102 $250 High Hunter Derby
Classic and Handy Hunter. 2 Round Format
Numerical Scoring. Top ten Classic rounds in each height will
be invited back for handy round. Open to all. 2 Fence Heights

Class 102- Fences 3’0 (Handy options 3’6)

Fences to start at 2’3 and go up to 3’6. Each division will have two classes and a $250 Classic.

$500 Hunter Derby

Come and enjoy a hunter derby in the heart of Millbrook Hunt Country at BTH (By The Hounds Farm) in our large sand ring.
Jumps will consist of natural obstacles. Two heights. 2’0-2’3 and 2’9-3’0. Handy hunter rounds will have 2’6 and 3’3 bonus jumps.
8:00am – 10:00 am Hacking only
10:00am Unjudged Warm-Up. (Two rounds allowed per horse). $25 each class.
Course Walk
12:00 Class 102 $500 Hunter Derby. 2’0-2’3 First Round or 2’9-3’0 First Round. $50
Ribbons 1-8 prize money. 1-6.
All riders who received a score are invited back for the Handy Round. Riders will return for the Handy hunter round in reverse order with the lowest score going first and the highest returning last.
